This module is really intended to be used with a bluetooth dongle so you can send/receive signals to and from your modular.

It can be used in a number of ways:

1. There is a USB connection powered by a 1A 5V regulator. If you are planning to make it work hard, it would be best to add a heatsink and keep in mind, the current is sourced from the +12V rail. If just running a Bluetooth dongle, it will have an easy life and no need for a heatsink.

2. An input circuit (Rx) that takes a stereo plug and has 22x gain feeding to two mono jacks. You can send a signal to this input from any line out source, such as a Bluetooth dongle.

3. An output circuit (Tx) that takes two synth level mono signals, reduces them to approx. one tenth (0.1x gain) and feeds the stereo jack output. If sending one signal, patch it into IN L and it will be fed to the IN R channel via the switch pin. This can be patched into a stereo amplifier or system that accepts line level signals.

If you like, you could get a Bluetooth adapter/dongle, plug it into the USB port, patch it into the stereo input and send signals from your phone into your synth and have them boosted up to synth voltage levels.

Some Bluetooth dongles have Rx/Tx functionality (send/receive), so you could send synth signals to your phone or laptop.

You can buy these on ebay for under $5 with shipping; make sure you select a supplier that ships within your country, unless you want to wait 2 months for delivery.
