This module uses two SSI2140 chips, one as a 4 pole high pass filter, the other as a 4 pole low pass filter. Both sections have voltage controlled cutoff and Q. The output of the high pass stage is fed to the switch pin of the input of the low pass stage, so the module can be used as a band pass VCF. Otherwise the high and low stages are independent and can be used as two separate filters.
The SSI chips are a bit tight to solder, otherwise it is a pretty easy build.
It sounds rather good btw, a decent high pass filter is an under-rated tool, and when mixed with a good low pass, it is even better.
